The Role of Academy IDP Coach
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the process for Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for Academy players with a specific focus on supporting the development of high potential U15-U18 players.
Main Accountabilities
- To lead, manage and develop IDP process and timelines for age groups U15-18 to ensure player performance and potential is supported
- To manage delivery, tracking and data of high potential players for age groups U15-U18 linked to pathway planning
- To work as part of the interdisciplinary team to support player development for age groups U15-U18 on both training and match days
- To manage IDPs of high potential U15-U18 players ensuring all departments work in harmony to deliver on objectives
- To deliver individual and small group coaching sessions to high potential U15-U18 players to support with development in line with IDPs on a weekly basis
- To provide feedback and deliver 1-1 reviews and analysis sessions to high potential U15-U18 players to support with development in line with IDPs on a weekly basis
- To conduct match observations and provide in-game coaching as required to individual U15-U18 players in line with their IDPs on a weekly basis
- To complete reports on high potential U15-U18 players as required by senior Academy and Club staff
- To ensure data capture for high potential U15-U18 players is completed as required in line with Club talent development model and processes
- To ensure that any concerns you observe, or are raised with you in your role, are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriate channels.
